Luxury Haircare Packaging for Product Launch

Mason Pearson, an iconic name in the world of hair care, is globally celebrated for its premium hairbrushes that blend tradition with exceptional craftsmanship. With a legacy rooted in over a century of excellence, the brand is now expanding its offering with the launch of a new line of luxury hair care products—including shampoo, conditioner, and serum. To mark the debut of this exclusive range, Mason Pearson sought a bespoke packaging solution that would uphold their brand’s reputation for quality, sophistication, and timeless style.

In response, we designed and produced 150 luxury rigid board presentation boxes tailored specifically for this launch. These boxes serve not only as a secure and protective solution but also as a tactile representation of the brand’s elegance. With internal dimensions of 230mm x 140mm x 60mm and a four-board case and tray design crafted from durable 3mm rigid board, the packaging achieves both form and function. A discreet magnetic closure adds a premium touch, allowing recipients to experience both ease of access and a secure seal.

Bespoke Foam Fitment for Bottle Security

At the heart of this packaging design lies a fully customised high-density foam insert, engineered to protect and display Mason Pearson’s glass bottles with care and style. With a depth of 40mm, the black foam has been expertly cut to include thumb holes for effortless removal. Each cavity snugly fits a bottle measuring 71mm x 35mm, with a 15mm gap between each and a 30mm buffer along the edge for added stability.

This level of precision ensures that each bottle—whether serum, shampoo, or conditioner—is housed in a way that reflects the brand’s attention to detail. Beyond its protective function, the foam fitment adds a visual uniformity and tactile satisfaction to the unboxing experience. It’s an essential element that reinforces Mason Pearson’s commitment to luxury at every customer touchpoint.

Premium Print & Dual-Level Layout

To fully reflect the brand’s upscale aesthetic, the boxes are printed in full CMYK both inside and out, ensuring vibrant colour accuracy and on-brand visual consistency. A soft matte lamination finish lends the packaging a smooth, velvety feel while simultaneously protecting the print against scuffing and handling—essential for preserving the presentation’s integrity from shipping through to display.

Internally, the box is ingeniously structured to present the core product range at first glance. The top tray is designed to hold one bottle of each product—shampoo, conditioner, and serum—while a concealed drawer below adds a secondary layer of interaction. This lower compartment houses additional products, such as two more conditioner variants and another shampoo, offering clients a fuller sampling of the range. The dual-level layout not only maximises space but also enhances the storytelling aspect of the brand’s launch, turning every unboxing into a multi-step experience.
